Their Eyes Were Watching God

For everyone considering honors humanities: Talk with the
person about when he or she read the book, why he or she values this
book and how it impacted his or her life.
Document the conversation and your impressions of the book in a
series of words and photos or art.
The person i spoke with about this book was Shyana Brown. From my understanding she valued the book because it dove into so many aspects of life. From love, race and religion it reminded her of her life. She never really expressed to me a impact it had on her life just that she enjoyed the book. When i picked the book up for myself i didn't really know what to think about besides the general idea that she gave me. As i started to get into the book i was confused on the dialogue but i soon realized that it made the book.Bonding with this book made me understand that we had a lot of things in common. The pear tree and the horizon got under my skin because, that scene reoccurs in my life all the time. When something good happens and you try to find that joy again in something else or another situation.Another important scene in the book is the hurricane. It demonstrates how chaotic and capricious the world can be. The hurricane makes the characters question who they are and what their place in the universe is.Often the world does this to you and you have to find a way back to the pear tree.overall i enjoyed the book and i would recommend it to anyone to read.
